- Imran Khan says that he will never accept “thieves and slaves” ruling the country.
- “It is not about politics anymore but has turned into a Jihad,” PTI chairman adds.
- He says PTI would continue a campaign against this conspiracy until elections are called anew.
ATTOCK: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that he had informed the relevant quarters that the country’s economy would take a plunge if the “conspiracy” succeeds, but nothing could be done about it.
Addressing a rally in Attock, the former prime minister said that he talked to “those who could have stopped the conspiracy” and also sent the then finance minister Shaukat Tareen to have a word with them but it turned out to be a futile exercise.
Speaking about his anti-government campaign, the former prime minister said that it is not about politics anymore but has turned into a Jihad (holy war), adding that he will never accept “thieves and slaves” ruling the country.
“I am ready to go to jail and even die for this cause but I would never accept becoming a slave to the United States,” he said, adding that the “three stooges” (Asif Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman) had hatched a conspiracy against his government in collaboration with the US.
“Handlers, while sitting in the US, toppled a sitting government in Pakistan,” he said. “We would, therefore, continue a campaign against this conspiracy until elections are called anew.”
Referring to PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Imran Khan said: “One of the brothers hurls abuses at the country’s army, while the other resorts to bootlicking.”
He further said that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari suggesting the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reforms is “a sign of the Judgment Day”.
Imran Khan recalled that soldiers of Pakistan Army have suffered more than the American Army, highlighting that 80,000 Pakistani sacrificed their lives during the America war.
He further added that the US orderedthe then president Pervez Musharraf to participate in the war warning him of serious consequences if he decided to go against them, “unfortunately our leader knelt down.”
‘War of freedom’
Addressing the charged crowd in Attock, the former prime minister said that it is the responsibility of the youngsters to participate with him in the war of real freedom as “now is the time to fight for the real freedom.”
He complained that what was the problem that they [the coalition parties] brought down the PTI-led government. “They [the now coalition government] impoverished, indebted the country, they destroyed the institutions and despite all the challenges PTI government managed to build the country.
“Those who could have stopped the conspiracy should know that PTI government had stabilised the economy with great difficulty,” he added.
Referring to the recent meeting of the PML-N huddle, the PTI chairman said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is taking decisions for the country after consulting convicted Nawaz Sharif while his daughter Maryam Nawaz, who is also an accused, is getting protocols. “Whoever goes behind their cases and questions them his or her life gets in danger,” he maintained.
PTI’s movement to continue until elections
He, once again, reiterated that the PTI’s movement will continue until the new government announces general elections. “This isn’t mine, this is our [Pakistanis] fight as we have decided not to become slaves of any other country,” he asserted, adding that he is ready to sacrifice his life or go to jail but he will “never become a slave to the United States.”
The PTI chairman has been holding a series of jalsas in different cities, including Karachi, Mianwali, Lahore, and Peshawar, as he rallies his party workers and leaders against the incumbent government.
